Through painting I explore the nuances of life's routine. I paint contemporary expressive scenes capturing place, memory, and mood through unique, vivid colour selections and unique compositions. 

 

My creative life is rooted in the support of my art educator father and crafty mother who regularly had me drawing, painting, sculpting, weaving, potting and playing much music throughout my youth.  This was followed by ongoing art studies along with those in other professional fields. I've worked extensively in strategic communications, digital media and public relations. For fun I've studied violin making enjoy making music.

Today, my paintings are held by private collectors through direct purchase and commissions as well as a range commercial clients requiring creative counsel and content development. These projects included crafting prop paintings for the award winning documentary "Painted Land: In Search of the Group of Seven."  I hold membership in various arts associations and have been fortunate to be selected for exhibitions regularly.
